The Heritarian Union Football Club Jaipur “A Golden Era”
"It still enjoys the credit of most surviving and eminent body of playing football in the state of Rajasthan. It is worth mentioning that during the India being under the British Empire, the 2nd World war’s Italian Prisoners were kept in Jaipur jail and played several games with Union Club’s team which comprises some outstanding reputed players namely Ballabh Ram, Sikandar, Abdul Hazi, HarlalParakh, etc. on this ground. The ground always witnessed the royal visit when the then Jaipur Maharaj Late Sawai Man Singh ||, whenever crossed the ground in his open Jeep, he couldn’t stop himself by kicking football in the ground and spent some time with players. This became as a routine for Maharaja and his wife Maharani Late Gayatri Devi (RajMata) frequently visited in tournaments to reward and award the players.
Just few months before the partition of India, Union Club went to Okara (presently in Pakistan) to play a tournament. This was really hard time when most of the reputed players from team A, B, C, D; E of Union Club migrated to Pakistan during partition. Club and ground felt the same pain as country does after division.
In our vision, we see a future where football transcends boundaries, uniting people from all walks of life in a shared passion.
