The Union Football Club was founded in the year 1889 .Just few months before the partition of India, Union Club went to Okara (presently in Pakistan) to play a tournament. This was really hard time when most of the reputed players from team A, B, C, D; E of Union Club migrated to Pakistan during partition. Club and ground felt the same pain as country does after division.
