Due to some UFC teams’ increase competitive play and success in 2005, new opportunities are now available to Union FC teams and players; such as Norcal Cup/League and some competing regionally and nationally renowned tournaments such as the U/12 and U/15’s in the San Diego Nomads Tournament (next weekend) as well as Futsal competitions, Small Group training to name some. Union FC is a year round soccer club which differs to most clubs in that we train for longer periods of time (i.e Winter and Summer) and tend not to take many breaks. Because of this, these activities will require significant new costs for team members and as a result, we have developed a sponsorship program to help pay for a portion of participants costs. As an incentive to those of you who that are able and willing to help with the fundraising efforts, we will credit 30% of the money raised by you towards your player’s pro rata share of the team fees in 2006. The remaining monies will be kept in the general fund to be used for coach’s expenses. A sponsor may deduct the donation if it is for business development. However, it is not a tax deduction for charitable purposes, tournament fees, etc. These monies will, also, help reduce individual player fees
